USP Creative meets Sir Peter Blake

Posted in News
USP Image

USP Creative's Managing Director, Jan Peters, was recently lucky enough to meet Sir Peter Blake and present him with a signed copy of 'Some Friendly' by the Charlatans.

Sir Peter, who is perhaps best known as the creator of The Beatles 'Sgt. Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band' cover sleeve, inspired the USP Creative design team with his 1950's pop-art work when creating the cover art for the Charlatans. The 'Some Friendly' album marks the bands 20th anniversary since their first release and their 20th anniversary of working with USP!

Can he fix it?

Posted in News

The question isn't how long, its more of a question of if... With Labour telling little porkies about just how broken they left Britain, can the Lib-Cons fix it? Here's some ideas to help our weak economy; Buy British. Get a British Car, buy British Gold, only use North Shore Oil, and you're supporting Britain, umm, actually you're not... What can be done then? Go on Holiday to Butlins! At least that's one institute that's still British!

1959 Christopher Cockerell invents the Hovercraft. Within weeks of its launch the Hovercraft crossed the English Channel from Calais to Dover. On 26 July it left Calais at 4.49am and arrived in Dover at 6.45am. Since then more than 80 million people and 12 million cars have crossed the channel by hovercraft. The cross-channel service was stopped in October 2000 due to increased competition from ferries and the channel tunnel.

Good Weather for.... Camping!

The first tip of camping is keep the locals happy... even if they hinder progress to the camp site! If you're going to the country (especially Wales), chances are you're going to encounter sheep! Don't be deceived by their fluffiness, they can be vicious when backed into a corner!
